One of our client company is looking for Application Production Support Engineer for a Insurance company. At least 5 years of experience in

  • Service Scope
    • Production Support
      • Perform operation work requests
      • Level 2 help desk
      • Perform data extraction requests
      • Perform data maintenance requests
      • Assistance for production defect analysis
      • Requests to customer’s Infra Team to deploy (promote) system changes to production environment. Provide procedure document and modules for deployment, to the Infra Team.
      • Setting of user account rights on production environment
      • Communication support: during night shift, support non-Japanese speaking engineers
  • System scope
    • IBM Case Manager (“FileNet”) for general insurance policy administration system (PAS)
    • Informatica PowerCenter ETL jobs, for integration of the PAS package and surrounding systems
    • Unix scripts for transfer of data from PAS package to MIS system
  • Initial training
    • Receive on the job and lecture training by Infosys team, for 2-3 weeks, on the scope mentioned above, from Infosys engineers.
  • Work conditions
    • 9 hour shift including 1 hour lunch break, 5 days a week (=40 hours per week) in principle
    • Shift will be assigned on a rotation basis (roughly once a week, the shifts will be rotated among 3 resources): 8am – 5pm, 11am – 8pm, 8pm – 5am (exact timings may change)

  • UNIX/AIX/Windows2012 OS maintenance and operations experience
  • Oracle database maintenance experience
  • DB2 database maintenance experience is nice-to-have
  • Some experience on SOAP and Java is preferred
  • Troubleshooting skills (for production support)
  • Communication bridge (English/Japanese bridge between Japanese-speaking customer and English-speaking Infosys Level 3 engineer – both written emails/request tickets, and verbally)
  • Some Japanese-language telephone support in the Level-2 production support role
  • Some experience in General Insurance domain is preferred
